Submission Guidelines
Submission Guidelines
Authors are invited to submit original manuscripts to the Journal of Asian Business Innovation (JABI). All submitted manuscripts should make a clear academic or practical contribution to the field of business innovation, management, marketing, technology, entrepreneurship, strategy, or related areas. Manuscripts must be prepared in English and should follow the official JABI manuscript template. Authors are strongly encouraged to download and use the sample template before submission.
1) Manuscript Preparation
All manuscripts should be prepared using the official JABI manuscript template. The manuscript should be written clearly and concisely in English. Authors are strongly encouraged to follow the principles of sound academic and technical writing. Manuscripts that do not meet an acceptable standard of English or lack clarity may be returned to the authors for revision or may not be considered for review.
The manuscript should be formatted using Times New Roman throughout the document. The recommended format is as follows:
Article title: 16 pt, bold
Author names: 12 pt, bold
Author affiliations: 10 pt
Abstract: 10 pt
Keywords: 10 pt
Main headings: 12 pt, bold
Subheadings: 12 pt, italic
Body text: 10 pt
Figure and table captions: 10 pt
All margins should be set to 1 inch on the top, bottom, left, and right sides.
2) Title and Author Information
The article title should appear at the top of the first page. The title should be concise, informative, and directly related to the content of the manuscript. Authors should avoid unnecessary articles, prepositions, or acronyms in the title unless they are widely understood.
Author names should appear immediately below the title. Affiliations, including department, institution, city, and country, should be provided below the author names. The corresponding author should be clearly indicated with an asterisk, and the corresponding author’s email address should be included.
3) Abstract
The abstract should be written as a single paragraph and should not exceed 200 words. It should summarize the paper rather than introduce the topic. The abstract should be self-contained and should not include numerical references or citations.
The abstract should clearly and concisely present the following elements:
the objective or purpose of the study;
the methodology or research approach used;
the main findings or results;
the significance, contribution, or implications of the study.
Because abstracts may be used in abstracting and indexing databases, authors should ensure that the abstract accurately reflects the core content of the manuscript and can be understood independently from the full text.
4) Keywords
A list of keywords should be provided immediately after the abstract. Authors should include 3 to 6 keywords that accurately represent the main topics, methods, and contributions of the manuscript. Keywords should be separated by commas and should end with a period.
5) Manuscript Structure
Although the structure may vary depending on the nature of the study, manuscripts should generally include the following sections:
Title
Author information
Abstract
Keywords
Introduction
Literature review or theoretical background
Methodology
Results or findings
Discussion
Conclusion
Declaration of competing interests
Acknowledgements, if applicable
References
Appendices, if necessary
Section headings should be numbered sequentially. Subsections should also be numbered clearly, such as 1.1, 1.2, and 1.1.1.
6) Figures and Tables
Figures and tables should be numbered in the order in which they are mentioned in the manuscript. They should appear as close as possible to their first reference in the text.
Figure captions should be placed below the figure. Table captions should be placed above the table. When referring to tables in the text, authors should use “Table” rather than abbreviations. Figures should be embedded in the manuscript for initial submission. If required during the revision or production stage, authors may be asked to submit individual figure files in an appropriate format, such as .tif, .eps, .png, .jpg, .jpeg, or PDF.
7) References and Citations
All sources cited in the manuscript must be included in the References section. References should be formatted consistently according to the JABI template. Authors should ensure that all in-text citations and references are accurate and complete.
Where available, a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) should be included at the end of each reference. Including DOIs is strongly recommended, as it facilitates reference linking and helps readers access cited works more easily.
8) Declaration of Competing Interests
Authors should include a Declaration of Competing Interests section before the References section. If there are no conflicts of interest, authors may state:
The author(s) declared no potential conflicts of interest with respect to the research, authorship, and/or publication of this article.
9) Acknowledgements
Acknowledgements may be included when appropriate. This section should recognize individuals, institutions, or funding bodies that contributed to the research. If the study received financial support, the full name of the funding body and grant number should be provided.
10) Author Biographies
Author biographies may be requested but are not required at the initial submission stage. If included, each biography should not exceed 100 words. Personal information such as hobbies, birthplace, or birthdate should not be included.
11) Submission Checklist
Before submission, authors should ensure that:
- the manuscript follows the official JABI template;
- the manuscript is written in clear and professional English;
- the abstract is written in a single paragraph and does not exceed 200 words;
